FAQs
Why to buy insurance if my goods are packed professionally?
Insurance provides peace of mind when you consider that your international household goods shipment will travel a great distance, be exposed to multiple weather conditions and can be handled in a variety a different methods depending upon destination.

When will my household goods arrive at destination?
Several international destinations will have shorter transit times than others; but on average, delivery of a sea borne shipment is between 4 and 6 weeks.

When is the best time to move?
If it's possible, we suggest you avoid the summer months, the end of the month or the end-of-year when scheduling your move. But you should move when it is most convenient for you. Consider the following factors when making your decision:
1) Should the move be made immediately?
2) Would you move children during the school term?
3) Do you want to separate the family while the move is under way?

When should I call a moving company?
The answer is simple - the earlier, the better. Though the actual van assignment may not be made until a few days before your move, it's wise to give your moving company from four to six week's notice, if possible. Keep in mind that the more lead time you can give, the more likely we will be able to meet your preferred delivery schedule.

The moving companies require alternate pickup and delivery dates. They will notify you in advance of the loading date for your goods and of the estimated date of arrival.

In case your pickup and delivery dates are critical due to such factors as a lease expiration or a real estate closing, you may choose an extra-cost service which will enable to accommodate a more precise, reasonable schedule. Just discuss your specific pickup and delivery requirements with us and be advised regarding the types and costs of services available.

Do I need an estimate?
An agent will make a pre-move survey of your household goods to be transported. We need a pre-move survey to determine the approximate cost of a move and the amount of van space your goods will occupy. The agent will compute the approximate cost and give you a written Estimate/Order for Service. An exact estimate cannot be calculated without a visual survey of the goods to be moved. The estimate is free of charge.

When shipping your goods interstate, you must pay the total charges as determined by the actual weight of your shipment, the distance it travels, and the services that you authorize or which become necessary to handle your shipment.

Rates for local shipments are generally calculated on an hourly basis.
