The cycle is usually like this: - Customer will sign the order for service - Customer will be contacted by our logistics dept. to confirm the information - Customer will have the goods picked up on the scheduled date - Goods will depart the origin - Goods will arrive to the destination port - Goods will be picked up by our agent and delivered to the customers home.
There are a few ways to obtain a commitment from customers and get them to sign. One way is having the customer to tell you very clearly that he/she wishes to proceed. This does happen after you provided outstanding customer service and you answered all the customer questions. Another way is asking for the order indirectly.
Examples: 1) What date do you have in mind for pick up?
2) Asking them: Would you like to proceed with the reservation?
3) If you communicating with a customer online, after you answered there questions you can simply end the email like this:
“If you wish to proceed with the order I will need the following information: -Pick up address -Contact telephone -Contact person -Desired pick up date -Destination address -Destination contact telephone -Consignee name Once I have the above information, I will email you the order for service. The above is very important for you to use at all times. Do not be afraid to ask for the order, this is what you do.” |
